A fter almost two years of intensive medical treatment, Sean Cox has finally returned to his family home in Dunboyne, County Meath. The former Sales Director at Precision Cables suffered serious brain injuries in an unprovoked attack by Roma hooligans prior to Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final in April 2018. Sean will continue to require round-the-clock care and an extensive programme of rehabilitation, but this remains a landmark moment for a family that continues to handle this most challenging situation with fortitude and dignity. F ebruary 3-7 marked some Ireland – the first ever Apprentice Week. The week saw educational events take place across the province, with many companies showing their support on social media, encouraging prospective apprentices to take the leap and celebrating those that already had. Many colleges and schools took very important days for the electrical industry in Northern part as well, offering information to employers and the future generation of the industry. During the week,
PAC Group Apprentice, Ben Brown participated in the Inter-Campus Skill Build competition. Ben is a first year Electrical Installation Apprentice at Northern Regional College, Newtownabbey. The judge couldn’t believe that Ben is a first year when he commented on his standard of work, which just shows how quickly and effectively young people can learn on the job. The first Northern Ireland Apprenticeship week proved to be a massive success and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2021!
