MRT Castings Ltd

MRT CASTINGS was established in 1947 in South London, and relocated to its current production base in Hampshire in 1965. MRT manufactures aluminium and zinc die castings, precision machined components and innovative electro-mechanical assemblies for hi-tech OEMs across the world. The company remains a family owned business, and has a highly skilled workforce of 55 sta. MRT’s Queen’s Award for International Trade 2016 was a recognition of the company’s outstanding growth in export sales over recent years. New production contracts from customers in the USA, Ireland, Hungary, Poland, France and Germany grew exports to 56% of the company’s total

high pressure die casting processes. Subsequent precision machining operations are performed by MRT’s 23 highly automated CNC machining centres. Surface nishing processes are managed by MRT through a network of local specialist subcontractors. Finally, MRT oers a comprehensive electro-mechanical assembly service to integrate their castings into nished products ready for direct distribution. Phil Rawnson, Managing Director and grandson of the Company’s founder, said “We were incredibly honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, particularly in Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday year. It was a great tribute to the skill and hard work of the whole team at MRT, and gave us a

MRT focuses on producing defence, aerospace and electronics industries.
