Flight inspection of ground-based aircraft navigation aids is a mandatory requirement under international statute and is fundamental to the safe operation of aircraft in an increasingly congested airspace and diering weather conditions. Flight Calibration Services Ltd (FCSL) is a privately owned British company which has used innovation and technology to become the main service provider in the UK and one of the largest, ight inspection service providers in the world. In the UK, FCSL provides this critical ight inspection service to over 98% of all UK airports

including London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports. FCSL has also rapidly expanded into export markets and is the major ight inspection service provider in the Middle East and a major ight inspection service provider in Europe and Africa. Overseas revenues now account for over 70% of annual turnover. FCSL is unique in that it has developed and manufactures its own Advanced Flight Inspection System. This British developed technology has enabled the Company to build a reputation for delivering innovative and cost eective solutions which, while complying with the exacting standards demanded by the UK CAA, allows ight inspection solutions to be tailored for individual customers. FCSL currently owns and operates six specially modied ight inspection aircraft, including three new Diamond DA62s. The new DA62s have been selected not only for their performance but also because of their reduced impact on the environment. At least one of these aircraft is always available to cover emergencies and urgent call-outs in all of FCSL’s areas of operation. Two aircraft are permanently based in the United Arab Emirates. enabled FCSL to provide an improved service availability with a full back-up capability for the Middle East. An additional new Diamond DA62 will be added to the eet this year and additional pilots, ight inspectors and engineers are being trained in anticipation of the company’s continued expansion.
