ROMAN is the leading shower designer and manufacturer and is extremely proud to have won a Queen’s Award for International Trade. Roman is a wholly owned British business which was founded in the North East in Newton Aycli e in 1985. Roman designs and manufactures shower enclosures and solid surface products for the bathroom at their headquarters in Newton Aycli e, County Durham and they currently employ over 225 employees. Roman has three manufacturing plants; for shower enclosures, bath screens and wetrooms; for solid surface fabrication of vanity units, basins and bathroom structures; and for moulding solid surface shower trays. The international market leader also has established two foreign subsidiaries, Roman Asia and Roman Ireland. By any de nition Roman is now the clear UK market leader, and perhaps more importantly for the North East of England, one of the few strong and genuine manufacturers within the UK and European bathroom Industry. Roman is a reputable and well established UK brand, who supplies showering products all over the world. Their foundations are strongly rooted in innovative design, manufacture, quality and customer services. Innovation and exceptional product design di erentiates Roman from the competition. Their products and ranges have won multiple awards for innovation and design. Roman employs a dedicated in-house Design Team who are based at their purpose built Design Centre. Roman has achieved such a strong position in the market place by consistent and creative product innovation and has produced signi cant growth across all UK Market sectors and in the past ve years, strong growth in International Markets. Roman’s manufacturing capability and vast range of products has made the brand increasingly strong in key International Markets. Roman has supplied products for projects in over 50 markets across the world from County Durham. expanding into solid surface technology to link in with their core products – shower enclosures and shower trays. This has led to speci cations from international hotel groups, which has given Roman the con dence to invest in International trade. From this they have had a number of recommendations from architects and designers from high pro le hotel groups, which has led to other contracts with architects and designers and being speci ed for multiple Projects.
