As a family owned and run company, established in 2003, The Jackloc Company Ltd is delighted to have won the Innovation Award for its MK2 key lockable universal cable restrictor. Jackloc was originally founded in 2003 by two sisters, Emma Wells and Deborah Allbutt, following their father Derek Horne’s innovative design for the simple, yet eective new key-lockable cable window restrictor. Their other sister Judith Burrows, became Director in 2012, after Deborah sadly lost her battle with cancer. The Jackloc is duly named after Deborah’s son and Derek’s grandson Jack. The product has gone on to become internationally renowned as the leading cable window restrictor that reduces the risk of falls out of windows. Nowwell into its second decade, the company has further developed to enhance the original Jackloc concept into an award-winning range of window restrictor products that are rapidly being adopted by some of the world’s leading organisations. Although the family-owned business continues to expand, its original vision and values remain unchanged with the overall goal of reducing the number of injuries and fatalities that are caused by falls fromwindows throughout the world. Tried and Tested: The Jackloc has been rigorously tested to BS EN14351-1:2006 and BS EN13126-5:2011 standards. Salt Spray Test in accordance with ASTM.B117-07 and evaluated to BS EN 1670:2007. UKAS tested to the old standard BS 6375: 2 1987 – up to 3,000 newtons.
