ESKAN, a proudly British company, with all of its products manufactured on site at state of the art facilities in Greenford, has been exporting world class security and defence products to government agencies for 30 years. The organisation is ISO9001 2015 fully accredited. Executive Director Andy Williams explains: “Exports make up more than 90% of our business. Our products go all over the world – the USA, Europe, Latin America and to at least ve Middle Eastern countries.” This is a signicant achievement for a company with fewer than 30 employees. What’s even more amazing is that Eskan boasts a range of more than 300 dierent products. Launched in 1987, the company has developed an impressive portfolio in several areas including counter surveillance, covert audio surveillance, radio frequency jamming or electronic counter measures, night vision technology, consultancy and training. Eskan began working with the security forces of various countries but are now also supporting defence users, our products are being used to combat terrorism, defend the law and save lives worldwide. Staying ahead of the game in the ever- changing world of leading-edge electronics is absolutely vital.

“We commit signicant resources to research and development,” explained Andy. “It makes up a substantial amount of our annual budget, but it is vital if we are going to keep producing the top- line products that our customers demand. We’ve worked with some of them for over 20 years and have developed friendships and a trust that is impossible to replicate.” The honour of receiving the Queen’s Award in
2016 was recognition for all our hard working sta that we are going in the right direction and that SME’s, such as Eskan, are recognised at the highest level in the UK. Gripple was delighted to receive the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2016 – its second in the category and fth Queen’s award overall. In the same year, Gripple’s Indian operation achieved £1m sales for the rst time, a growth of 37% on the previous year. The company’s progression into 2017 continues to be in tune with a business widening its global inuence.
