Other expenditure commitments As at the reporting dates presented, the State Government requires Western Power to make, by notice published in the gazette, the below future annual payments into the tariff equalisation fund for the benefit of the Regional Power Corporation. See table 59 below. The 2025/26 reported commitments were gazetted on 14 June 2025 (2024/25: 14 June 2024). For the reporting year ended 30 June 2025, Western Power made payments of $230 million into the tariff equalisation fund (30 June 2024: $197 million). This expense has been recognised in ‘Other expenses’ in profit or loss (refer to note 5(c)(i)).
29. Events occurring after the reporting date
There are no matters or circumstances that have arisen since 30 June 2025 and the date of this report that are likely, in the opinion of the directors, to significantly affect the operations of Western Power, the results of those operations, or the state of affairs of Western Power in subsequent reporting years.
