Enhancing our DEI Strategy Western Power has successfully:

Employee Networks Our Employee Networks provide key input to DEI planning and delivering a calendar of meaningful activities and events. These not only recognise days of significance but opportunities for building engagement and learning. Key activities have included: • WA PrideFest, Western Power collaborated with Synergy to take part in the Fair Day and Pride Parade, celebrating LGBTIQA+ culture and community; • 16 Days in WA Events held at our Perth Office and online, and participation in the 34th March against Family and Domestic Violence; • International Day of People with Disability in-person and online sessions; • International Women’s Day, in collaboration with UN Women; • Languages Fair and Harmony Week – celebrated with a series of hosted team events and internal social media campaigns; • several National Reconciliation events including the official opening and smoking ceremony for our Noongar Six Seasons Reflection Garden – a collaborative artwork and botanical resting space for employees at South Metro Depot. A company-wide approach to acknowledging and celebrating Days of Significance in diversity has improved the connectedness of our employee network groups, our leaders and the wider workforce.

• embedded Western Power’s DEI Strategy 2025-2028, developed with input from all business units; • ran quarterly meetings of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, bringing together the executive team to oversee a cohesive company-wide program of objectives and actions; • introduced First Nations Cultural Leave available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employees, providing them access to paid leave for ceremonial or cultural activities; • continued our strong partnership with the Waalitj Foundation and Clontarf Foundation to support educational outcomes of Aboriginal high school students and develop diverse candidate pipelines for entry-level pathways to employment with Western Power; • promoted our public holiday substitution option, giving employees practical support around their personal choices for days of cultural significance; • provided ongoing education opportunities for our employees, such as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fundamentals course (3700+ completions); • grown our six DEI Employee Networks. Overall, our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts are providing positive change for our employees and customers, underpinned by stronger data, leadership commitment and a focus on outcomes for a safer, fairer and more inclusive workplace.
