Entry Level Program As we close out the year, we’re pleased to share highlights from our training and development performance – reflecting the collective commitment to capability building across the organisation. Key outcomes achieved this year include: • increase in training participation, with strong uptake across frontline and leadership cohorts through the Learning & Development Framework • continued focus on alignment and delivery to the OCF to support critical capability areas, aligned with Western Powers strategic priorities • External Legislative Audit at PTS with extremely positive feedback which has ensured we’ve met our regulatory and risk obligations for the next seven years • strengthened our talent pipeline through increased graduate and apprentice programs to meet our future workforce demands. These results are a testament to the value of investing in our people and the alignment of our People Capability strategy with business outcomes front and centre of what we do. The year ahead will be focused on the safe delivery of our training delivery schedule to meet the strategic objectives. We look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead.
ASU/CEPU agreements landed In the 2024-25 financial year, we reached agreement on new enterprise agreements (EAs) with both the Communications Electrical and Plumbing Union (CEPU) and the Australian Services Union (ASU). The Western Power and CEPU EA covers the majority of Western Power’s operational employees and came into effect in April 2025. The Western Power and ASU EA predominantly covers our office-based employees and came into effect in February 2025. Employees under both EAs voted strongly in favour of the proposed new EAs, with the terms and conditions demonstrating our commitment to providing new and improved benefits and working conditions for our valued employees. These outcomes reflect both the good faith we continue to embed within the agreement negotiation process and the ongoing commitment to our people who are key to our future success.
