WP Annual Report SEP25

Our stories Network for life campaign In July 2024 we launched our Network for Life campaign, building on our previous Powering Our Lives campaign. The Western Power network is integral to and enables the lives of so many. A network that helps all of life’s networks flourish. While the network of the future may look a little bit different, it’s built on a foundation of an existing network that we’ve been continually managing, upgrading, maintaining and evolving for years. The campaign features a series of advertisements outlining Western Power’s vision for a decarbonised future as well as the tactical work already being undertaken to continue to deliver electricity to the community through the energy transition. We’re helping to paint a high-level picture of a decarbonised future while providing proof points about what we’re doing to improve reliability and deliver on our core business to improve felt experience for customers now.

Western Power has a critical role to play to achieve the State Government’s goal of a cleaner energy future – but we can’t do it alone. The campaign is part of that ongoing conversation with our community, and aims to demonstrate to our customers our commitment to working together to power a cleaner energy future. This campaign complements our other awareness campaigns – including: • Make the Safe Call – driving community awareness on electrical hazards, what to do and educate common outage causes. • Shocks and Tingles – in partnership with Building and Energy, aims to remind community that shocks and tingles may be an early warning sign of an electric fault and should be reported immediately. • 360 Aware – promotes safety near the network, supported by an online learning tool to help businesses develop daily safety plans. • Powering Kindness – encourages respect towards our frontline workforce, reinforcing community connection and safety. • Peak Demand – helps to mitigate demand on the energy system during peak hours (5pm - 9pm) over summer, through driving awareness amongst the community on small but impactful changes they can make to their energy consumption habits.
