The PSHE curriculum is designed to allow students to develop and build on prior knowledge as they progress throughout the school. We have divided the subject into 5 core strands to enable students to focus on specific aspects at certain times in the year. We are trying to encourage students to develop knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits that will prepare them for adulthood. As our students’ progress through the school they will develop the knowledge and skills to maintain a range of healthy relationships. They will know how to stay safe or how to get help if they are in danger. They will also be prepared for adult life through career preparation and an understanding of finances. The curriculum also intends to promote citizenship among the students. The PSHE curriculum is designed to support the whole well-being and development of our students as they prepare for adulthood.
