Drama is an exciting and popular subject across all key stages at Bitterne Park School. There are specialised studios which allow students to experience quality learning of Drama skills. Drama lessons and the vast range of extra-curricular activities will help students develop life-long skills, through the experience of team work, creativity, voice control, body movement, rehearsing, confidence building and so much more. Explore theatre that is currently being performed in the West End – understanding how to apply the level of skill required to be a successful performer. Create original and exciting theatre – learning how to apply devising techniques so that your work communicates effectively with an audience. Develop your analysis skills – the more you understand about why theatre works successfully, the more you will be able to apply this knowledge to your own performance work. Perform to live audiences, building your confidence to stand up in front of others.
Team work is a key skill that you will develop in Drama, learning to lead, listen and compromise with your peers – allowing you to develop into a well-rounded individual. FUN! Come and see what it's all about, meet the teachers and find out more about all the opportunities to get involved with here at Bitterne Park School. We look forward to meeting you.
