CCNE Continuous Improvement Progress Report (2018 Standards ), Standard IV
• Faculty are engaged in the program improvement process.
Note : Faculty outcomes identified in Key Element IV-H should be congruent with those previously identified in Key Element I-D.
IV-H 1. Describe how faculty outcome data are used to promote ongoing program improvement:
Areas to improve include feedback on student assignments. Faculty were encouraged to give effective formative evaluation feedback that students can use to improve performance. Feedback methods were discussed, and examples shared. Discussion rubrics were reviewed.
IV-H 2. Describe the process in place to analyze faculty outcomes for effectiveness:
Data is collected throughout the year. Aggregated faculty data from course surveys is reviewed in outcomes and curriculum committees. Observation and evaluation data is utilized to identify areas needing in-services or discussion at faculty meetings. Data is also used to update and add to the onboarding process. Recently we added information to the faculty orientation courses that provide teaching methodology options.
IV-H 3. Using the data previously provided in Key Element IV-G, were there any actual faculty outcomes that did not meet the stated expected level of achievement?
Yes No
For any outcome where the expected level of achievement was not met, provide a written explanation/analysis with documentation for the variance in the space below.
Optional : Key Element IV-H
Is there any other information that the program would like to provide related to this key element?
Insert text here.
Key Element IV-I Program outcomes demonstrate program effectiveness.
Elaboration: The program demonstrates achievement of outcomes other than those related to completion rates (Key Element IV-B), licensure pass rates (Key Element IV-C), certification pass rates (Key Element IV-D), employment rates (Key Element IV-E), and faculty (Key Element IV-G). Program outcomes are defined by the program and incorporate expected levels of achievement. The program describes how outcomes are measured. Actual levels of achievement, when compared to expected levels of achievement, demonstrate that the program, overall, is achieving its outcomes. Program outcomes are appropriate and relevant to the degree and certificate programs offered.
