Individual student performance is evaluated by the faculty and reflects achievement of expected student outcomes. Evaluation policies and procedures for individual student performance are defined and consistently applied.

Annual

Quizzes/tests analysis

Faculty asked to review stats on exams and quizzes. Some changes being made to content covered in progression of fundamental courses as more data is collected. Rubrics updated to include minimum word counts and late policy changed to 3 days. CPET utilized with first clinical group. Data to be review in first quarter of 2024. Faculty emailed out end of course surveys to review after each term and included in staff annual evaluations. End of course comments and end of program surveys reviewed in Outcomes committee mtg 11/2023.

Discussion and blog rubrics were updated to ensure accuracy and consistency. Grading policies are posted on all syllabi and presented in the nursing student handbook under progression. Quizzes/tests and assignments are evaluated every term by faculty and needed updates are reflected on the End of Course Evaluation by Faculty. Lab layout restructured to allow for more hands on skill practice and the development of critical skills to be passed prior to practicum. Some tests were remade after it was discovered that they were compromised. Proctorio established for exam integrity. Review of fundamental courses to determine if some courses are heavier in content than others as they progress. All syllabi reviewed to ensure grading reflects a weight of 25% on finals and 80% overall in test weight in the course.
