• Coordinate coverage for faculty in their absence • Facilitate and participate in the faculty organization and faculty meetings • Administer nursing program clinical experiences and preceptorships • Produce program administrative reports and paper work • Plan office hours appropriately to meet the needs of the faculty and students • Provide recommendations for crisis management and policy implementation for the nursing programs • Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure quick and smooth transitions of faculty into their new roles • Maintain the inventory, security, and maintenance of program facilities and equipment • Monitor current trends and find ways to implement suitable changes to enhance learning • Serve as a role model to students and faculty • Establish strategic partnerships with organizations, such as health care facilities, nursing associations, and employment agencies • Attend college functions, meetings, student orientations, in-service sessions, and graduation

Qualifications: •

Master’s Degree in Nursing

Five years of nursing experience

• Three years as a nurse educator or an administrative position in a nursing education program • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs • Knowledge of academic culture, policies, and procedures • Communicate effectively in written and oral forms • Experience in using multi-media equipment for instruction • Ability to adapt instruction to enhance student learning, including the appropriate use of traditional, technology-assisted, hands-on, and other forms of instruction
