FINANCES Please refer to the online catalog for the breakdown of costs for students enrolled in the first-year program. These costs include room/board, tuition, fees and mandatory accident insurance coverage. Additional costs may include any of the following: textbooks, ensemble or drama team outfits, electives, sports uniforms, vehicle registration, mailbox deposit. See the catalog for more information. Financial aid can be discussed with with Mr. Alex Hackett at 518.494.1506. We are approved for PELL grants and student loans (Stafford and PLUS). Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress. Students who receive Federal Title IV Aid (Pell Grant, FSEOG, Federal Work Study & or Federal Loans) must maintain a cumulative GPA consistent with the Standard of Academic Progress (SAP). A student must also successfully complete the clock hours in a payment period in order to progress to the next period and be eligible for additional Title IV funds. SAP is evaluated after successful completion of 15 weeks of coursework for freshmen students. A student progressing as a sophomore will be evaluated at 30 weeks and again at 45 weeks. All accounts should be current prior to entering the next academic semester. REFUNDS Please refer to the online catalog for account refund information and specifics. PERSONAL FINANCES Out-of-state checks are difficult to cash in this area, particularly if they are for large amounts. The Finance Office will cash small amounts up to $30.00 as funds are available. These checks must be made out to the student or to “Cash.” The Word of Life Bookstore does not carry charge accounts. Only cash, check or credit card transactions are acceptable. Students are offered a 10% discount when they present their student ID card from WOLBI.
