GRADES A student must have a cumulative average of 2.00 in order to receive a Certificate (1st year) or a Diploma (2nd year). Those graduating with less than a 2.00 average will receive a Certificate of Attendance if all other requirements are met. No report cards are mailed. Grades are available online at any time for the student to view. Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, (FERPA), parents need to obtain the username and password from their student to be able to view grades online. Grades received by the end of each semester will appear on the permanent transcript. No grades or transcripts are issued unless the student’s financial account is paid to date. Students with a cumulative or semester GPA of 2.5 or lower may be required to attend supervised study hours. If they continue to remain low, they may be placed on Academic Probation. These measures are intended to assist students who may be experiencing struggles in their studies. Students who achieve a 3.00–3.49 grade point average at the end of a semester will be placed on the Dean’s List. Students with a 3.5–4.0 are placed on the Dean’s Honor List. If a student does not put forth a genuine effort and their grades remain consistently below what can reasonably be expected, they may be dismissed at the end of the semester.
