STÉPHANE LAJOIE stephane.lajoie@eap.on.ca

Spiritual study at Arbor Gallery The reason for existence has occupied people’s minds for centuries and over the March 19 wee- kend, the Arbor Gallery offers a Saturday evening session with Vivianne LaRivière, a multi-media artists with master’s degrees in pastoral and theo- logical studies, as well as being trained in reiki and other disciplines. “There’s More Than One Way to Get There” is the theme for the evening as LaRivière poses questions and observations about spiritual baggage, the importance of forgiveness, and preparing oneself for the spiritual journey after leaving this world. Part of the Arbor Gallery’s 2016 Speaker Series of “Interesting Talks with Interesting People”, the event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the gallery at 36 Home Ave., Vankleek Hill. More details available at 613-678-5086 or at www. arborgallery.org. – Gregg Chamberlain What to do on March break It doesn’t seem like that long ago we were cele- brating Christmas. Yet, here we are with spring just around the corner, and looking for something for the kids to do during spring break from March 14 to 18. The Champlain library has something just about every day to keep the kids occupied. On Wednesday, it’s Lego all the way for kids 5-10 years of age. The fun continues on Thursday with giant board games for kids aged 7 and older. The spring break week finishes off with a movie, The Good Dinosaur, for everyone to enjoy on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Hawkesbury library has board games on Tuesday, March 15 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., and a movie with popcorn on Wednesday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. The Hawkesbury swimming pool will hold extended hours during spring break to give kids more time to get waterlogged. The pool will be open to the public from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. – Diane Hunter
