Middle School Our middle school students are given the academic and social-emotional tools they need to become leaders within our school community and are provided additional opportunities to explore their personal interests through a variety of clubs and extracurriculars. A high level of preparedness is achieved through rigorous curricular standards, best teaching practices, and a commitment to developing self-advocacy in our students. We view self-advocacy as a process and something that we demonstrate, teach, and nurture for our students as they embrace new challenges. A dedicated self-regulation program, which honors our commitment to meet the educational needs of all learners, instills stress management and resilience. Our Middle School is service-oriented and integrates classroom learning with real-world service to address community needs. This program includes structured reflection, helping students develop the skills and motivation to live as compassionate individuals. Through our holistic approach, our students receive a breadth of experience and the opportunity to learn how to be respectful and contributing members of a global community. Our graduates leave ASB’s halls as effective communicators, ethical thinkers, and self-directed learners.
