Be one of the first to work in these high-tech facilities opening in 2024: UT Health at Kyle Seale Parkway, scheduled to open spring 2024, is a five-story outpatient and surgery center that will be dedicated to delivering primary, specialty and ambulatory surgical care to South Texans. UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, the 144-bed hospital is scheduled to open in 2024 providing advanced oncology therapies and specialized surgeries. Out and About in Our Neighborhood The Alamo In its 300 years, the Alamo has shaped the city of San Antonio, ignited the battle for Texas independence, and influenced American history. Visitors will learn about the heroes and events that have made the Alamo’s story captivating for generations of Texans. Stop by the Alamo Church and the Alamo Exhibit at the Ralston Family Collections Center, where you can explore exhibits and artifacts from the Phil Collins Collection, the Donald and Louise Yena Spanish Colonial Collection and more. El Mercado Time for some shopping. San Antonio is home to El Mercado Historic Market Square, the largest Mexican market in the U.S. Frost Bank Center Frost Bank Center (formerly AT&T Center and SBC Center) is a multipurpose indoor arena on the east side of San Antonio. SAMA is renowned for having the most comprehensive ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian art collection in the southern United States. The Nelson A. Rockefeller Latin American art wing spans the ages, from the ancient Americas to the present, and includes a collection of popular art. In the contemporary galleries, works of internationally recognized artists share prominence with notable Texas and regional art. The comprehensive Asian art wing displays works from Korea, India and Japan and includes an important Chinese ceramics collection.

Big Shoes to Fill The Alamo City holds another Guinness World Record as the home to the tallest cowboy boots sculpture, which is located outside the city’s North Star Mall, 10 miles from downtown San Antonio. At 35 feet tall, 33 feet long and 9 feet wide, they weigh more than 10,000 pounds
