Hometown St.Thomas October 2024

Grace enthuses, “We have devotees from North, East, South and West parts of India. When we come under this umbrella, we are all Indians under Panditji’s guidance and his calming ways which help people. It is an important part of India, and it is good to have a temple in St. Thomas.” From the 3rd until the 12th of October, Navratri is honoured for nine nights of worship and Pooja. Afterward, on October 29th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Shree Hari Har Mandir will be celebrating the Diwali Festival of Lights, decorated with Diyas and Pooja being scheduled for October 31st from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Following these events, Panditji and Grace have assured that extra food will be donated within the community.

Panditji concludes by welcoming those interested to visit the mandir and take advantage of their facility located at 100 Redan Street -- in the heart of St. Thomas. Their door is open to anyone and without cost. Furthermore, Grace invites, “Classes are held at the mandir to teach Hindi and English as a second language on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Classes are free for everyone.” Hindu Spiritual and Religious Centre, or Shree Hari Har Mandir , operates Monday through Sunday from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm. The pair express their gratitude for the community’s continued support, offering the following phone numbers to those with inquiries about this mandir: 519-701-3870 and 519-878-1407.
