Is every Unitarian, Spiritualist, Theoso- phjst, New Thoughtist, Russellite, Chris­ tian Scientist, rejecting Him as the Eternal Word? What woe does He pronounce upon these? When did. they behold His glory? Luke 9:27-31. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) Everything had a beginning but God; He is without beginning. (2) The Eternal Word is the expression of God’s thought concerning man. (3) The Word and His work are beauti­ fully blended. (4) Light is penetrating. It dispels the darkness. It is purifying and pervad­ ing and fruit producing. (5) God was born of a woman that we might be born of God. ( 6 ) Great is the mystery of godliness— God manifest in the flesh. (7) Those who received Him became sons of God. Those who rejected Him remained sons of the devil. ( 8 ) Men who believe in Christ as Saviour and Lord become twice born men.

makes no mention of John the Baptist preaching repentance, as do Matthew, Mark and Luke, for John was not concerned with a full report of the Baptist’s ministry, but only the report of his testimony to the Lord Jesus as the herald of the coming Christ. However, John the Baptist’s preaching of the repentance is implied in verse 23. So great was the excitement over John the Baptist’s ministry, that people were in great, expectation. All classes of men were reasoning as to who this strange
