As the largest health care provider in a 38-county region, UT Health San Antonio logs 2.6 million patient visits per year. UT Health Physicians, the medical practice of the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, provides care in more than 120 specialties and subspecialties to South Texas and beyond. With more than two dozen locations throughout San Antonio and South Texas, we make it easy for patients to find a location that is most convenient for their needs. Our laser focus on critical areas of research and care includes important work at UT Health San Antonio’s Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies, the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute, the Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the world’s largest research group focused on combat-related PTSD and related conditions, amongst others. Two New Locations Coming in 2024: We’re Hiring, Come Help Us Grow While we have needs for physicians in many subspecialties across our network of facilities, we’re very excited to announce two new additions to the clinical footprint. In fact, you can be one of the first to work in these high- tech facilities coming in 2024. UT Health Outpatient and Surgery Center at Kyle Seale Parkway (early 2024): This 108,000-square foot outpatient and surgery center will be dedicated to delivering primary, specialty and ambulatory surgical care to South Texans. UT Health Multispecialty and Research Hospital (late 2024): Fueled by our commitment to excellence and discovery, this 144-bed, patient-centered hospital will deliver a singular healing advantage for the people of South Texas, ushering in a game-changing, fundamental shift to proactive, personalized medicine.
