Export to Existing/Custom Excel Sheet When viewing measuring results in the M3 Data View the Export Custom Excel button can be used (from the Export Menu) to send data to an existing Workbook and Worksheet. Custom export parameters can also be set using the flags in the Export Dialog (dialog described below).

Cancel Button – Cancels the current Export and return the operator to the Data view. Done Button – Accepts the current Export Settings and executes the data export. Workbook Button – Press to select an existing Excel Workbook file. Data will be sent to this file. Target Sheet – Once a Workbook has been selected from the Workbook button, select the target worksheet from the worksheet dropdown. This list will be populated with sheets detected within the selected workbook. Update Copy – When set to Yes the target worksheet will be duplicated in the workbook and the new data will be sent to it. Append to Existing Data – Set to Yes to append current data view contents to the end of the data within the current worksheet. Set to No to overwrite existing sheet contents. Sheet Limit – Sets the maximum number of new worksheets that can be created within a workbook. Starting Column Offset – Sets a cell column offset for the data entry starting point within the worksheet. The offset is specified from cell 1,1 within the target sheet, or from cell 1,1 relative to existing data, in the event the data is being appended. Starting Row Offset – Sets a cell row offset for the data entry starting point within the worksheet. The offset is specified from cell 1,1 within the target sheet, or from cell 1,1 relative to existing data, in the event the data is being appended. Include Column Headers – Set to Yes to include the data column header labels from the M3 template in the output excel sheet. Set to No to omit the header labels. Use M3 Formatting – Set to Yes to enable M3 template emulation for the target worksheet. When set to Yes the M3 will attempt to duplicate the template characteristics from the M3, in the target worksheet. Use M3 text colors – Set to Yes to set text colors in the target sheet the same as M3. This option is typically used do that failed tolerance results, in Red Text color, will be transmitted to the target worksheet. Print after update – Set to Yes to execute a Printout immediately following the export. The printer settings will be used from the M3 main system setup. Close after export – Set to Yes to close the target workbook and Excel application, following the export step.
