Applications Of Drones

The use of cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI, hyper-spectral imaging and processing, sensors, improved battery capacity and control, has further extended the utilisation of drones. As mentioned earlier, drones were initially used for military purposes as to reduce casualties in war and for strategic use in combat as they can reach strategic positions in battle fields. Then, drones started to be used for other purposes, but not as widely as today. Military use aside, many would perceive drones are for recreational use and personal hobbies. However, with promulgation of improved technology, has spark new interests of drone usage to improve relevant operations and product quality, in other words, widen the drone’s deployment perspective in respective industries.
