The need for an economic overhaul is evident through the breakdown of society in addressing the situation. There must be a change in how resources are managed and deployed; with socio-environmental safeguards put in place. More impetus is needed in renewable assets, especially energy. Moving forward, central to enabling principles, policies and strategies, is technology, hence the need for strong incentives to be put in place to facilitate adoption, adaptation, and innovation. Key Industry 4.0 technologies are highlighted in the current and previous publications, where our visibility can be enhanced by placing local players onto the global stage. First and foremost, our players need to have a solid domestic base and figure prominently in the local market and build on that competing with foreign entities by offering better features and, of course, more reliable in their respective areas. By strapping on the proposed principles, more viable policies are hoped to be formulated and reformulated to motivate industry players to create a positive economic impact to stakeholders. We hope lessons learned from crisis such as COVID19 help us navigate to a better Malaysia.
