2021 Report to Our Community

BECKY HOLDING A PHOTO OF HER MOTHER, MARGA

The Community Hospice Foundation for Caring is responsible for raising funds to support programs that benefit the community and are delivered at no cost to the recipients. The depth and breadth of our community benefit programs far exceed those offered by most nonprofit hospice agencies, but we would not have it any other way. We feel it is our responsibility as your community-based hospice to give back to the community that has supported us since 1979. OUR LIFE-ENHANCING PROGRAMS INCLUDE: » Pediatric palliative care » Compassionate charity hospice care for patients who do not qualify for Medicare and/or do not have private insurance » Bereavement and community grief support for up to thirteen months after the death of a loved one in our care » Music and pet therapy to support the emotional needs of adult patients » Pet care and placement when a patient can no longer support the needs of their beloved animal » African American outreach in underserved communities » Specialized care for the nearly 2,000 veterans we serve annually The People Who Support You.

hen Marga’s dementia began to decline, her daughter Becky turned to Community Hospice & Palliative Care. Our interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals compassionately guided Becky through every step of the end-of-life process, showing her mother Marga the dignity she deserved. W
