Exploring light, composition and color, we will experiment with different materials including charcoal, graphite, pastels and colored pencils. Demonstrations, visual examples and handouts will be provided as well as individual attention. All levels welcome whether novice or experienced hand. Supply list provided upon registration. Supplies to be purchased by participant. $5.00 due at first class, which covers additional supplies not found on list. New! In each 6 week session, we will go deeper into two genres. Facts on Fair Housing Laws Instructor: Fair Housing Center for Rights & Research A representative from the Fair Housing Center for Rights & Research will share information for homeowners and renters on fair housing law rights and responsibilities. Be in the know and discover the facts. Session Length: One Day Class Location: Beachwood Community Center Session Dates Day Time Resident/Non-Res. Sept. 13 Wed. 10:30-11:30 AM FREE (RSVP) *Register by September 8. A classroom based self-defense course designed to give the average individual the knowledge needed to prevent crime in everyday situations and locations. Tactical advantages and enhancements will be taught that help deter criminals and give the individual increased reaction time to prepare physical defense options. Physical defense options will also be discussed and participants will be given the option to partake in basic hands on personal defense techniques. The course is taught by experienced Beachwood Police Department Subject Control Instructors. The recommended minimum age for participants is 16 years of age. See for yourself the dramatic transformation of a former golf course! Explore 155 acres of Acacia Reservation by golf cart with a Cleveland Metroparks naturalist. We will tour the wildflower meadows and visit the hidden ponds during this hour- long excursion. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes as there may be a few times we would be walking a short distance. Avoid
