Senior Secondary Curriculum

Monitoring student progress

Student progress will be monitored regularly at 3 weekly intervals each Semester. At each of these monitoring points students having difficulty with their studies will be identified and appropriate action taken. Actions may include meetings with the students, contact with parent/ guardians and formal meetings with the student and their parent/guardian, which may include subject teachers. Student Manager, Student Welfare staff and/or Principal/Assistant Principal.

Students who have consistently failed to meet expected due dates, not completed the set assessment tasks and not demonstrated the outcomes in any subjects, will be awarded an N for the unit unless there are extenuating circumstances.

The final decisions on awarding an N for the unit will be made by the VCE Management Team. If an N is awarded, a letter will be forwarded to the student and their parents/guardians confirming the result and explaining the implications for future studies.
