ADAMIC HIDING.

“DYING GRACE.” The dying Lord saves a dying man. (See Luke 23:39-43.) 1. The thief mocked his fellow sufferer —Matt. 27:44. 2. The thief repented, “Dost not thou fear God?” 3. The thief confessed his sins. “We indeed justly (die).” 4. The thief justified Christ. “This man hath done nothing amiss.” 5. The thief called on the name of the Lord (Rom. 10:13), “Lord, remember me.” 6. The thief had great faith for great grace. “When thou comest in thy kingdom.” He believed the nailed Hand would yet hold the scepter. 7. The thief was saved. “Today thou shalt be with me in Paradise.” And now leaving Paradise he has ascended into heaven and is still ever with the Lord.”— S. 4. What He Offered—Rest. Cite instances where He gave rest to body, mind,' conscience, heart. 5. The Case Is the Same Today. (1) The multitude is in the same stress today. (2) The Lord Jesus is in the same mood. (3) The Invitation stands good. (4) The rest is still found in Him. Cite examples : a. Your own experienced b. Your observation, c. What you have heard of. d: What you have read of. 6. There remains a better, more perfect, and a perpetual rest. “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be.

Men hide behind : (1) False hopes. (2) Indifference. (3) Excuses.. (4) Self-righteous acts.

(5) Ignorance. The only safe hiding place—Jesus. Isaiah 32:2; Rev. 6:12-17.— D. L. Safe lodging place, the “Shadow of the Almighty.” Safe coverings, His wings and His feathers. Safe shield and buckler, His truth. Safe company, angels better than acci­ dent policy. How Jesus Felt Toward the Multi­ tude.—»Matt. 9:36. 2. The State of the Multitude. Imagine the conditions and circumstances, from what, is implied in His words and works- among them. What .were their cir­ cumstances? The state of their bodied minds,, consciences; hearts? 3. What They Needed and Longed for — Rest.
