“It’s such a great opportunity to hear so many success stories and to celebrate advancements from Malaysia and Singapore. It is an inspiration for us to achieve more than we can dream of,” says Senior Director 5 Amy Seow enthusiastically. Learning Opportunities The trainings conducted have always served as a great platform to learn proven business building principles from successful Melaleuca leaders. The keynote speaker, 2017 President’s Club Winner, Executive Director 9 Peggy Hsieh from Taiwan elaborated on the key to success, “It all starts with leading by example. If you know that making 20 calls a week will lead to explosive growth, you must start by doing it yourself and then leading your team to doing it.” Senior Director 3 Patrick Ling, one of the thirty new Senior Directors who attended SSLC for the first time said, “This is truly an excellent learning opportunity — I’ve learnt so much more about building a Melaleuca business, especially on the importance of making 20 calls a week and the “Chart My Course” concept which makes my journey towards reaching my goals even clearer.” Senior Director 7 Safiah Nordin concurs, saying that the training by Executive Director Joanne Khoo taught her new ways of doing things. “Approaching our contact list is nothing new but what surprised me is Joanne’s sharing on how to turn your new contacts into an effective one, and into potential customers. Given her achievements, it’s evident that this step-by-step guide is a tried-and-true method,” she shares, noting that these are informative tips that she will use to lead her team to achieve their goals. Commitment The trip was not only educational and fun for the attendees, but it also deepened the level of commitment. For Executive Director 2 Alvin Lim, who is in his fourth SSLC, this year’s workshop reminded him to focus on the right activities. “I learnt that the only way to achieve success is making the commitment to do Critical Activities 1 & 2 consistently,” he explained. Senior Directors 4 Sean Wong and Wynnie Lim quipped, “This is our first SSLC and we are committed to bring more new Senior Directors with us next year. We’re so charged up from all that we’ve learnt.” “Our key takeaways from SSLC are to have commitment and determination to take action, to choose to believe and persist, and by doing so, the results will naturally follow,” said SSLC first-timers Senior Directors 3 Dana Ng and Elijah Kuo. The best is yet to come as the 2018 Standing Senior Leadership Council promises to be one unlike any other. So it’s time to set your goals and reach Senior Director!
