Lenses and lighting allow you to see what you want Telecentric Lenses Application

Suitable for high-precision measurement due to minimal fluctuation in numerical values within the depth of field and almost no distortion at the periphery. Within its focal range, the size of the optical image of the subject at the imaging position remains unchanged regardless of the object’s distance from the lens, enabling dimensional measurements with accurate size relationships About Telecentric Lenses

*Image of connector pin

When using a standard lens for imaging, it is challenging to identify bent pins due to the wide angle of view, which causes the sides of pins, aside from the center, to appear in the image.

When using a telecentric lens for imag- ing, the angle of view does not cause reflections from the sides of pins, ensur- ing that only the sides of curved pins are captured and made visible in the image.

Detection of missing, bent or misaligned connector pins

Tools used

When using an ordinary lens, the di- ameter of the hole is distorted due to the angle of view, making dimensional measurement difficult. Additionally, since the hole cannot be viewed di- rectly from above, any foreign objects inside (upper right corner of the image) cannot be visualized

When using a telecentric lens, there is no distortion of the hole due to the an- gle of view, making the image suitable for dimensional measurement. Since the image shows the hole directly from above, any foreign objects inside (up- per right corner of the image) can also be visualized

Our goal is to use images to measure the diameter of holes in metal parts and identify any foreign objects within them
