The Bachelor of Arts (BA) Liberal Studies enables students to design an approved, coherent program of study from course selections across the various arts and humanities disciplines. This interdisciplinary degree program is designed to empower ethically minded students to reach their creative, intellectual, and leadership potential through a broad and deep educational path. Students looking for a more customizable degree will develop their plan with an academic advisor; build a powerful academic foundation; and develop valuable skills employers seek including oral and written communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and problem solving. The job opportunities for liberal studies majors are broadly varied. Graduates of this degree program may find employment in business, government, non-profit organizations, social services, and educational institutions, while performing jobs such as creative writer, grant writer, speechwriter, editor, public relations specialist, legislative assistant, lobbyist, or elected official. The program also combines educational opportunities designated as Liberal Arts PLUS certificates and opportunities leading to enhanced career placement.
