Central Washington University Board of Trustees May 17, 2019 ACTION – Mandatory Fee: Recreation Center Fee
The ASCWU recently endorsed an increase to the recreation center fee for the 2019-2020 academic year (fiscal year 2020). The proposed increase is $15 per quarter on the current fee of $102 per quarter. The recreation fee has not been increased since 2012. Significant increases in the minimum wage and staff wages & benefits have largely been offset by operational effectiveness and Ellensburg campus headcount growth, but now require an increase to maintain the 1.0 debt service coverage ratio required by our bond covenants.
We recommend the following motion:
The Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves the Recreation Center fee increase, from $102 to $117, for fiscal year 2020. Submitted by: Approved for submission:
