Board of Trustees meeting Agenda | May 2019

7. Equity . CUAA will develop and assess standards for equitable caseloads and compensation for all advisors. Students will have access to advisors, and retention of advisors will improve. 8. Intentional Hand-Offs . As students transition to new advisors, there will be an intentional and consistent hand-off to ensure students and advisors are aware of the change. 9. Efficiency . This proposed model will require additional resources committed to advising (e.g., to support faculty WLU), but also aims to reduce redundancy and improve efficiency in the delivery of advising services to students. Next Steps: Based on the feedback received from students, faculty, and staff about this proposed model, the AAC will further revise and refine the model. The goal is to reach consensus on a final model of advising by the end of June 2019, construct a budget, and make recommendations to the Provost. Once a model and budget are approved, implementation of the new model will begin.
