“progressive sanctification,” or Chris tian growth and maturity (II Cor. 3:18; II Pet. 3:18). The final is called “absolute sanctification,” when we see our Lord Jesus Christ in glory (1st John 3:2). This is the only com plete sanctification man will know. Sinless perfection or eradication of iniquity is not possible so long as we are “in the body.” See I John 1 :7-10. Q . Albany, Ore. — “I’m confused by Genesis 11:29. Does this mean that Sarah and Lot had the same father?” A. We need to consider also verse 27 which gives us the generations of Terah. One of his sons, Haran, the brother of Abram (Abraham) was the father of Lot. Sarah was Abraham’s wife, and we know from another por tion of Genesis that while these two had different mothers yet they had the same father. Lot therefore was also the nephew of Sarah. This was not just by marriage but because Sarah was a half-sister of Abraham’s.
