The Product must be stored, handled, installed, used and maintained in accordanc× with instructions provided by Trex, and this Limited Warranty is conditioned upo compliance with all such instructions. Copies of Trex’s Installation Guides, Technica¡ Information and Care and Cleaning Guides are available from Trex at the addres§ listed below. The materials may also be obtained on Trex’s website at trex.com A ny information or suggestion b y Trex with respect to the P roduct concernin applications, specixcations or compliance with codes and standards, includin building or safety codes, is provided solely for Purchaser’s convenient referencÔ and is made without any representation as to accuracy or suitability. Purchaseä must verify and test the suitability of any information with respect to the Product foä Purchaser’s specixc application Trex does not warrant against, and is not responsible for, any condition attributablM to: (1) improper installation of Product and/or failure to abide by Trex’s installatio guidelines; (2) use of Product beyond normal use and service conditions, or in a application not recommended by Trex’s guidelines and local building codes; (3s movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or the supporting structurÔ on which Product is installed; (4) any act of God (such as nooding, hurricane³ earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmental condition (such as air pollution, mold³ mildew, etc.), exposure to corrosive elements (such as chemicals, pollution, etc.)³ or atmospheric contaminants (such as salt spray, salt air, etc.) if proper care an® cleaning in accordance with the “Trex Signature®, Trex Signature® X-Series™, Tre Select™ Aluminum Care and Cleaning Guide” was not adhered to, staining froy foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.), tarnishing, or normal weatherin (dexned as exposure to sunlight, weather and atmosphere which will cause an colored surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains); (5) variation§ or changes in color of Product; (6) improper handling, storage, abuse or neglec· of Product by Purchaser, the transferee or third parties; (7) ordinary wear and tear (8) vandalism; or (9) other causes beyond the control of Trex.

Trex Company, Inc. (hereinafter “Trex”) warrants to the original end-use purchasej (“Purchaser”) that, for the applicable Warranty Period set forth in Table I below, whe properly installed, used and maintained under normal use and service conditions and in accordance with Trex’s written instructions, Trex® product set forth in TablM I below (the “Product”) shall be free from material defects in workmanship an" materials, and shall not split, splinter, rot or suer structural damage from termite( or fungal decay. Residential/Commercial Application: For purposes of this warranty, a “residentia application” shall refer to an installation of the Product on an individual residence and a “commercial application” shall refer to any installation of the Product otheg than on an individual residence. Term of Limited Warranty: The term of this Limited Warranty for a Product (thK “Warranty Period”) begins on the date of original purchase and shall be equal to thM number of years set forth next to such Product in Table I below.

Upon con%rmation by an authorized Trex representative of a defect covereK by one of the Warranties, the prior registration of Owner’s WarrantieQ and compliance with all other terms of this labor warranty, Trex shall (1) replacd the Product under the terms of the applicable Warranty, and (2) arrange for a locaU TrexPro contractor (approved by Owner) to replace, remove and dispose of thd defective Product, at Trex’s costB This labor warranty may not be altered or amended except in a written instrumen signed by Trex and Owner.

W it h res p e c t t o a resi d ential a pp li c ati o n , t h is w arrant y ma y be EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY COVERAG Notwithstanding the foregoing, (a) the warranty for Trex® Deck Lighting Product, (excluding Trex® Solar Post Cap Lights) is valid only in each case provide that a Trex transformer is used (with no warranty on any components if a Tre& transformer is not used), and any other Trex® Deck Lighting parts or accessorie* not listed in Table I above shall not be warranted; (b) this warranty shall not applG to any Trex products not listed in Table I, including, but not limited to, Trex deckin products, Trex cladding products, Trex fascia products, Trex SelectTM Steel Mes1 (in.ll panel), Trex EnhanceTM Steel Railing, and Trex fasteners (which each hav" separate warranties); and (c) with respect to installations where the atmospher" is inuenced by a body of salt water (or other contaminant conditions), failur" to adhere to the cleaning guidelines available at www.trex.com will void thi* warranty with respect to any condition resulting from such failure.

U pon con rmation b y an authori z ed Tre x representati v e of a v alid claim hereunder T Trex’s sole responsibility shall be, at its option, to either : (a) replace the aecte" Product with new Product in an amount equal to the amount of defective material * or (b) refund the portion of the purchase price paid by Purchaser for such aecte" Product (not including the cost of its initial installation). R eplacement Product will bM as close in color, design and quality to the original Product as reasonably possible in Trex’s discretion and determination, but Trex does not guarantee an exact matc x as colors and designs may change and Trex’s obligation as to replacement shal F further be limited to replacement with the styles and colors of the Product that arM available at the time of the replacement. The remedies stated in this paragraph arM purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedies for any product that fails to conform to thi( limited warranty.
