Purchase must verify and test the suitability of any information with respect to the Product fo Purchaser’s specic application` Trex does not warrant against, and is not responsi b le for, any condition attri b uta b l * to: (1) improper installation of Product and/or failure to abide by Trex’s installatioM guidelines; (2) use of Product beyond normal use and service conditions, or in aM application not recommended by Trex’s guidelines and local building codes; (3A movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or the supporting structur on which Product is installed; (4) any act of God (such as ooding, hurricaneH earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmental condition (such as air pollution, moldH mildew, etc.), exposure to corrosive elements or atmospheric contaminants (such as salt spray, salt air, chemicals (including pool and ice removal chemicals), pollutionH etc.), staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.), tarnishingH welding, lawn care equipment damage, or normal weathering (dened as exposur to sunlight, weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface t gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains); (5) variations or changes iM color of Product; (6) surface corrosion from scratches, nicks and dents; (7) imprope handling, storage, abuse or neglect of Product by Purchaser, the transferee or thirn parties; (8) ordinary wear and tear; (9) vandalism; or (10) other causes beyond th control of Trex.

If a v alid warranty claim hereunder is made during year ele v en ( 11 ) or any yeaI thereafter through the expiration of the applicable Warranty Period after th0 original purchase, recovery will be prorated in accordance with Table II, below If Trex is providing replacement materials, it may elect to replace the percentag0 listed in Table II, below, of Product otherwise meeting the re q uirements for claim, or if it is refunding the purchase price, it may elect to refund the percentag0 listed below in Table II of the purchase price of Product otherwise meeting th0 re q uirements for a claim.

Trex Company, Inc. (hereinafter “Trex”) warrants to the original end-use purchaseI (“Purchaser”) that, for the applicable Warranty Period set forth in Table I below, whe properly installed, used and maintained under normal use and service conditions' and in accordance with Trex’s written instructions, Trex® product set forth in Tabl0 I below (the “Product”) shall be free from material defects in workmanship an materials, and shall not crack, peel, blister, =ake, split, or suer excessive corrosion Corrosion is termed extensive when there are multiple rust-through perforations o the same piece of Product. Residential/Commercial Application: For purposes of this warranty, a “residentiak application” shall refer to an installation of the Product on an individual residence and a “commercial application” shall refer to any installation of the Product othe than on an individual residence[ Term of Limited Warranty: The term of this Limited Warranty for a Product (th¼ “Warranty Period”) begins on the date of original purchase and shall be either (1) fo a period of 1 year for Product located within 1 mile or less from a saltwater coast lin» OR (2) for Product located more than 1 mile from a saltwater coastline, equal to th» number of years set forth next to such Product in Table I below.

EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY COVERAG

U pon con ` rmation b y an authori z ed Trex representati v e of a v alid claim hereunder Trex’s sole responsibility shall be, at its option, to either: (a) replace the a ecten Product with new Product in an amount equal to the amount of defective material or (b) refund the portion of the purchase price paid by Purchaser for such a ecten Product (not including the cost of its initial installation). R eplacement Product will b as close in color, design and quality to the original Product as reasonably possibleH in Trex’s discretion and determination, but Trex does not guarantee an exact matc c as colors and designs may change and Trex’s obligation as to replacement shal 1 further be limited to replacement with the styles and colors of the Product that ar available at the time of the replacement. The remedies stated in this paragraph ar purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedies for any product that fails to conform to this limited warranty.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, (a) this warranty shall not apply to any Tre products not listed in Table I, including, but not limited to, Trex decking products Trex cladding products, Trex fascia products, Trex fasteners, Trex Deck Lightin products, Trex Signature® railing, Trex Signature® X-Series™ railing, Tre« Transcend® railing, Trex Select™ aluminum and composite railing, Trex Enhance composite railing, Trex Fencing and TrexTrim (which each have separat¤ warranties); (b) with respect to installations where the atmosphere is inuence by a body of salt water (or other contaminant conditions), failure to adhere to th¤ cleaning guidelines available at www.trex.com will void this warranty with respec½ to any condition resulting from such failure; and (c) Products that have had direc½ contact with salt water are excluded from this warranty. The P roduct must b e stored, handled, installed, used and maintained in accordanc * with instructions provided by Trex, and this L imited Warranty is conditioned upo compliance with all such instructions.
