Over the summer, Bur enjoyed lobster rolls in Maine with Jamie Saft at his incredible new home and studio (under renovation) and went to a reggae fest at a campground. Graham Theodore water skied with Bur in July in Otis, Massachusetts, and in August, Dave Williams visited. So I guess that’s a few classmates. Bur still lives in Milford, Connecticut, and you too can visit with him next time you’re in the area. “Feel free to call me.” In other news, Jake Weinstock , Stan Ades , and Dave Lynch headed to Austin, Texas, for their annual trip, where they were able to “catch up, have a few laughs, play some bids and, in this case, enjoy some of the best barbecue on earth.” While there, they reached out to Scott Wich , Sondra Lender , and Pam Paulmann for a few additional laughs and encouragement to see each other more often. Dave and Pam spent an evening this fall with Pam and her husband watching their daughters play soccer together for Fairfield Ludlowe High School. Pam’s daughter is captain of the Ludlowe team, which won their quarterfinal match on penalty kicks. Phil Noto helped celebrate coach Tom Parr’s induction into the New Haven Gridiron Hall of Fame by bringing the aptly named Parr Cup to the celebra- tion. The Parr Cup is awarded to the champion of the Hopkins Pigskin Invita- tional fantasy football league, which Phil won easily over Phil Piazza (Other Phil). “Special thanks to Jon Berchem ’88 for spearheading the induction of Coach Parr,” said Phil, “as well as fielding a particularly mediocre fantasy football team in 2022.” Tara Courtmanche ran the New York City Marathon in November and said, “one of the highlights was getting a hug from our now famous classmate Missy Robbins as I ran through the streets of Brooklyn. A great moment in a difficult race.” Congratulations, Tara. And I still don’t understand mara-thoners. Finally, Sarah Merriam was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and sworn in to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in September. Not a big deal. Sarah has been working out of the Bridgeport courthouse but hopes her chambers will move back to New Haven in 2023.

I’ll say. Bur saw Casey Neill perform in New York and met him the next day at Sally’s. He got together with Matt Baker and family in New Haven. Bur saw Todd Goglia a few times this year; Todd is a software architect in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Seth Schwartz and Keith Hirokawa were part of Bur’s 2022 reunion tour. Seth is a surgeon in Seattle, Washington, and Keith is now Associate Dean of Research and Distinguished Professor of Law at Albany Law School. At Chuck Elrick’s retirement party in June, Bur met with Jeff Wilson , Adrienne Garofalo , and Kristy Holbrook Lynch . All were sad to see Chuck retire.
