Edgewater R Storytime with a Social Worker Mondays, December 6, January 3 and February 7 at 10:30 am Join us for a special storytime with a social worker that will focus on social- emotional learning. Presenter: Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services Glen Burnie Wellness Week: Zumbini at the Library Thursday, January 13 at 9:30 am Zumbini© program combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of learning and fun! Presenter: Totsville Art @ Your Library Preschoolers will enjoy an art experience using different art media and learn through play. Wear clothing that is mess friendly. We’ll read stories about birds and learn about counting birds in our own backyard. Grab a Take and Make kit from the Busch Annapolis Library for this virtual storytime.
Anne Arundel County Public Library is committed to providing parents and caregivers with the tools to help their young children get ready to read. Through the nationally-renowned Every Child Ready to Read (ECRR) initiative, libraries can have an even greater impact on early literacy through an approach that focuses on educating parents and caregivers. Please note: There will be no ECRR classes Monday, December 20, 2021, through Saturday, January 1, 2022. This includes Babies in Bloom, Toddler Time, Preschool Storytime, Family Storytime and Music and Movement.

Deale Babies at Play Mondays, December 6, January 3 and February 7 at 10 am Join us for this unstructured time for babies and caregivers to socialize and play. Discoveries: The Library at the Mall Seasonal Babies Craft Tuesdays, December 14, January 11 and February 15 at 11:15 am Enjoy a seasonal art project with your little one! Baby, It’s Cold Outside Thursdays, December 16, January 20 and February 17 at 2 pm Bundle up your baby and join Discoveries library staff at a different local park each month to stroll, socialize, sing songs and read stories together! Call Discoveries for locations. Preschool Dance Party Friday, January 21 at 10:30 am Jump up, turn around, clap your hands and stomp around at this high energy preschool palooza. Baby Olympics Saturday, February 12 at 2 pm Crawl, walk, run or jump over to Discoveries and go for the gold! Show off your little one’s amazing athletic abilities at the baby Olympics. Pretend Play: Construction Zone Friday, February 18 at 10:30 am Children can use their imagination and have fun building in our pretend construction zone. Supplies provided. Dress up if you’d like!
