YOUR GIFTS IN ACTION Summer @ Your Library

The foundation funds $45,000 a year to support Summer @ Your Library (S@YL). S@YL is a time-honored, family tradition and this year did not disappoint. This popular program engages readers of all ages, with a focus on preventing “summer slide” in school-aged children with an emphasis on fun. Nearly 5,400 people registered for the program. Summer readers were treated to incredible educators and entertainers including Latin Grammy-winning music duo 123 Andrés, Eco Adventures, Illstyle (history of hip hop), Stevens Puppets, Crofton Yoga, the magic of Joe Romano, Baby Beats with Beat Box Dads and more! There was something for everyone! More than 125 online programs

were attended by a total of 3,736 people. Library branches held 615 in-person programs and hosted 21,807 people. The four-month program culminated with grand prizes, also funded by donors, including: a Chromebook, Yeti gift sets and NASA Lego kits. 100 th Anniversary Coasters Have you seen these fun and informative coasters around the county? To celebrate the library’s 100 th anniversary, the foundation funded these creative coasters that were placed in local bars and restaurants. The coasters were a whimsical way to inform county residents, along with customers, about the many wonderful services the library provides.
