Retaliation The Company will not retaliate against employees who request or take leave in accordance with this policy. Parental Leave CREA, LLC provides up to eight weeks of unpaid leave in a 12-month period to employees for the birth or adoption of a child. You must work full time and have three consecutive months of employment with the Company to qualify for this leave. You must provide at least two weeks' notice of the anticipated date of departure and the date you intend to return, or provide notice as soon as practicable if there are reasons beyond your control. You will be placed in your original job or an equivalent job with equivalent pay and benefits upon return from leave. You will not lose any benefits that accrued before leave was taken. Federal FMLA leave and Massachusetts parental leave run concurrently and cannot be used consecutively if leave is covered under both laws. The Company will not retaliate against employees who request or take leave in accordance with this policy. Please see CREA Policy 3.7 — Parental, Maternity, and Adoption Leave — for more information and a potentially more generous benefit. Small Necessities Leave Pursuant to the Massachusetts Small Necessities Leave Act, CREA, LLC will provide eligible employees with up to 24 hours of unpaid leave during any 12-month period for the following reasons: To participate in school, Head Start, and day care activities directly related to the educational advancement of your child, including parent-teacher conferences or interviewing for a new school. To accompany your child to routine medical or dental appointments, including check-ups or vaccinations. To accompany your elderly relative to routine medical or dental appointments or appointments for other professional services related to the elder's care, including interviewing at nursing or group homes. Leave may be taken intermittently or on a reduced leave schedule. You are eligible for small necessities leave if you have worked for Company for 12 months, either consecutively or nonconsecutively, and worked at least 1,250 hours in the previous 12-month period. If the need for leave is foreseeable, you must provide seven days' notice. Otherwise, provide notice as soon as possible. You may also be required to submit certification verifying the reason for the leave. You may elect to use PTO in place of unpaid leave. The Company will not retaliate against employees who request or take leave in accordance with this policy. Voting Leave If your work schedule prevents you from voting on Election Day, CREA, LLC will allow you a reasonable time off to vote. The time when you can go to vote will be at the discretion of your manager, consistent with
applicable legal requirements. Wage and Hour Policies Pay Period
At CREA, LLC, the standard pay period is semi-monthly for all employees. Pay dates are the 15th and last day of the month. If a pay date falls on a holiday, you will be paid on the preceding workday. If a pay date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you will be paid on the preceding Friday. Special provisions may be required from time to time if holidays fall on pay dates. Check with your manager if this type of date arises.
