Northfield Clinic Opening February 2020!

Our Northfield Clinic will officially be open and accepting new clients starting February 10th, 2020! Physiotherapist Jessica Clancy will be transitioning from Belmont to Northfield and will be full-time at Northfield by the end of February. Physiotherapist Adam Dafoe will also be transitioning to Northfield in the Spring.

Hello! My name is Jessica and I have been working at SOS Physiotherapy since November, 2019. I’m so excited to transition my physiotherapy practice toour new Northfield clinic throughout the month of February. We have a great new space, and I look forward to meeting you and moving you to better health from SOS Northfield! I grew up just around the corner from our Northfield location, so moving my practice here feels like coming home! I am passionate

Nimmy was born in Nairobi, Kenya and grew up in India. She completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Physiotherapy from Mahatma Gandhi University in India. Nimmy began her vocation, treating patients at a neurological rehabilitation center. She thenworkedatamultinationalhospital, wherehercareerencompassedvarious fields of physiotherapy; including neurology, orthopedics, cardio- pulmonary, geriatrics and pediatrics.

I am rostered to provide pelvic physiotherapy, and I look forward to integrating pelvic health into my practice. I love to meet new people, and I am thrilled to be a part of the SOS team that serves the Kitchener-Waterloo community so well. while working with the geriatric population where she noticed that the majority of falls was a result of incontinence. Shortly after, Nimmy undertook her post- graduate specialization in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Since then, she has been committed to helping both the female and male population, of all ages, with bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. Nimmy believes that rehabilitation is all about improving one's quality of life at any stage of their life. Her interest in pelvic health includes, and is not limited to, incontinence, pain during sex, pelvic pain, prenatal and post-natal physiotherapy.

Nimmy's work as a licensed physiotherapist is both fulfilling and rewarding to her. She continues to expand her treatment tool box by updating herself on the latest research, and attends continuing education programs.

An open house for laser therapy is right around the corner.

Nimmy also enjoys reading books on fiction, cooking, travelling, hiking and spending time with her husband and their young daughter.
