Prep School Prep Sports Round - up

A huge thank you to all those who have supported the children this week. We had some amazing matches against Wellington on Monday with the Years 3 and 4. It was great to hear such positive comments from the supporters about the improvement of play by the children in just a couple of weeks since their last run out. Certainly, the Year 4 girls' understanding of passing and protecting the ball by use of a spin was clear to see as the game went on today. The Year 3 boys displayed some great running with the ball in hand and defended equally well. Wednesday, saw the U11 boys off to Sherborne and the U10s to the King ’ s Bruton tournament. The U11s played some great attacking rugby with seven of the team involved in the last try! Great team work resulting in a

win. The U10 boys are certainly enthusiastic and played very well in patches. Hopefully as their understanding of the game improves then they will continue their progress. The girls hosted Millfield Prep, in some spirited matches. The U10 girls ’ played their best hockey of the season so far, passing well and playing with confidence. The U11B were slow to start and Millfield were quick to capitalise, but in the second half they were engaged and scored three goals. Finally, the U11A team played some confident hockey in their match, and were unlucky to score on numerous occasions but managed to get one in to take the win.
