Overtime period play was scoreless, leading to a shootout. Carleton Place took the game with one point from Jake Code and the winning goal by David Gagnon.

The final week of their October game schedule saw the Rockland Nationals split their last three games with a win against Cornwall but narrow losses to Smiths Falls and Carleton Place. Rockland slipped away with a win from the Colts in overtime play, October 24 in Cornwall, with Gunnar Smith firing in the final point two minutes into the overtime play, off a pass from Nats’ assistant captain Jack Sullivan. The Nats outshot the Colts almost two to one throughout the game, though Cornwall was first on the scoreboard. Simon Labelle put Rockland on the board in the first half of the second period, with help from Smith and David Lafrance. Aidan Hilton then pushed the Nats into the lead with a power-play goal, assisted by David Lafrance and David Menges. The Colts’ final goal, midway in the third period forced the over-time play. Smiths Falls Rockland hosted Smiths Falls last Friday, with the Bears getting a 3-1 win over the Nats, even though the Nats had twice as many shots on goal compared to the Bears.
