Analysis and Reporting

● Manage, monitor and maintain records on mobility to meet both internal and external requirements especially but not restricted to externally - British council, partner universities, and internally – departmental mobility for staff and students. ● Lead on the development of policy in international mobility within the International Office contributing to the delivery of University and departmental objectives especially in internationalisation.

Communication/Documentation

● Lead, plan and manage the appropriate documentation management systems and audits where appropriate ● Managing the reputation of the Global Education team with internal and external customers ● Lead, plan and overseeing marketing and outreach activities to existing and potential students (including outgoing & incoming Orientation, student return, Open and Offer Holder Days) ● Planning and development of materials to support the Orientation for the International Year and for Intercultural Communication/ Communication across Cultures.

People Management

● Manage the Global Opportunities Team to ensure the successful delivery of a professional administrative service ● Act as a mentor to team members, develop training solutions to support their professional development ● Manage own time and tasks on a weekly and monthly basis to support the annual cycle for students and staff mobility. ● Regularly revise and develop policy and procedure to facilitate the delivery of services for which the Global Education Team is responsible. ● Provide team leadership in effective operational planning & review ● Lead, plan and organize both individual and team activity with an appreciation of the longer-term goals within Keele University’s strategic plan for internationalisation. Global OpportunitiesTeam activities should complement and feed into the overall International Strategy of the university ● Deputise for Associate Director of International Development where appropriate

Liaison

● Represent and promote the mobility activities of the Global Opportunities Team at both internal and external working groups, committees and fora and events (NAFSA, EAIE, APIE, Forum) to ensure that the departmental and university issues are appropriately represented, and acted upon ● Work with other areas of the university to develop new and improved processes to support mobility. This includes both academic members of staff and professional services such as Visa Compliance, accommodation, finance, recruitment, admissions, marketing, etc.
