Un dur coup pour Carl Desjardins à l’Omnium du Québec

étape de la division internationale du Circuit Canada Pro Tour, du 7 au 10 juillet, au Golf de la Faune de Québec. Ce sont 129 golfeurs, en provenance de cinq provinces et de 14 états américains, qui se sont disputé les grands honneurs. Dès le début, les caprices de Dame nature ont forcé l’arrêt de la première ronde et les golfeurs ont dû revenir sur les allées à l’aurore le lendemain, ce qui n’a pas été de tout repos sur le mental et le swing.
Carl Desjardins a bien mal amorcé son tournoi avec cinq bogueys sur les neuf pre- miers trous, des frappes qui lui ont été fatales sur la feuille de pointage. Dans un tournoi aussi relevé, il est crucial d’accumuler des birdies pour se forger une avance et Desjar- dins n’en a calé que deux lors de sa première sortie, aux quatrième et onzième trous. En deuxième ronde, il a joué la normale sur 13 des 18 trous et n’a réussi qu’un birdie
au septième trou. À six coups au-dessus de la normale après 36 trous, il n’a pu éviter la coupure, qui a fait plier bagage à plus de la moitié des golfeurs après la deuxième ronde, dont 22 qui détenaient une avance sur Carl Desjardins. N’ayant pas obtenu de points lors de l’Omnium, le golfeur de 41 ans a dégrin- golé du 25 e au 40 e rang du classement Mol- son Canadian 67 et ce, même si ses cartes étaient sensiblement les mêmes que lors des deux premiers tournois de la saison. Mais la division internationale du CCPT est une bête bien différente, où des golfeurs profes- sionnels à temps plein viennent brouiller les cartes. C’est Derek Gillepsie, un Canadien actif sur le circuit de la PGA LatinoAmerica, qui a terminé en tête avec une carte finale de 20 coups sous la normale en quatre rondes de jeu. Il s’agissait d’un premier tournoi sur le CCPT pour Gillepsie, qui est présentement 74e au classement de la PGA LatinoAmerica. Le champion de l’Omnium Invitation Hawkesbury, Stephane Dubois, a rebondi à la suite de sa 20 e place à Wyndance, ter- minant quatre coups derrière Gillepsie au deuxième rang du classement. Le champion en titre, Dave Lévesque, a, quant à lui, pris le quatrième rang. La prochaine étape au calendrier du CCPT est l’Omnium Southern Ontario, qui a lieu au club de golf Hidden Lake de Bur- lington depuis quatre ans. Cette année, les golfeurs rivaliseront sur un terrain redessiné, où il est important d’atteindre sa cible sur les trous où le jeu de positionnement est la clé.
L’Omnium du Québec aurait pu être un grand moment de golf pour Carl Desjar- dins, mais le golfeur de Chute-à-Blondeau a dû ranger ses bâtons après la deuxième ronde, ses cartes de 76 et 74 n’étant pas de taille pour éviter la coupure. L’Omnium de juillet était la première

Ontario Power Generation Inc. has applied to the Ontario Energy Board with a plan to increase the amount it charges for the output of its nuclear generating facilities and most of its hydroelectric generating facilities in each of the five years beginning on January 1, 2017 and ending on December 31, 2021. If the Ontario Energy Board approved the application as filed, Ontario Power Generation has calculated that the monthly bill for the typical residential customer using 750 kWh of electricity per month would change by the following amounts: 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 -$1.29 $1.73 $1.07 $1.86 $1.89 Other customers, including businesses, will be affected as well. THE ONTARIO ENERGY BOARD IS HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) will hold a public hearing to consider Ontario Power Generation’s request. We will question the company on its case for a payment amount increase. We will also hear questions and arguments from individuals and from groups that represent consumers of electricity. At the end of this hearing, the OEB will decide what, if any, increase will be allowed. If Ontario Power Generation’s application is approved, the OEB’s subsequent review in the years 2018 through 2021 may be limited to applying a formula that is tied to inflation and to ensuring certain annual adjustments are made in accordance with the approved payment amount plan. You may not receive further notice of those adjustments. The OEB is an independent and impartial public agency. We make decisions that serve the public interest.
