Ryerson University Hosts Idealliance G7 Training

FLAG Launches New Website, “Talent Connection” FLAG (Flexo Label Advantage Group LLC) has launched www.flagadvantage.com — a new web- site designed to help interested converters learn about the benefits of FLAG and how it helps its mem- bers to grow their businesses. A webinar scheduling tool is included in the new launch. “Member Connections”, a program intro- duced online in 2015, helps FLAG Members with in- dustry/business advice, networking, catastrophic recovery planning, equipment sales, outsourcing and more. FLAG is also expanding its Member benefits with “Talent Connection powered by FLAG.”This new pro- gram addresses the current workforce challenges by providing channels to connect flexographic students and professionals with leading independent label converters in the flexographic industry. “Talent Con- nection powered by FLAG”matches resumes of quali- fied potential candidates with the needs of currently more than 75 independent label converter Member companies.

Idealliance and Ryerson University partnered to bring G7 Expert and Professional training to an inter- national roster of 32 students representing every seg- ment of the graphic communications industry during a three-day program at the Ryerson University School of Graphic Communications Management in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, last month. Ryerson hosted the June 12-14 training event at its print, media, direct mail, and marketing services facili- ty.A graphic communications program with eight G7 Experts on its staff, Ryerson is an industry leader and resource for development, testing, and industry growth as well as undergraduate education. Ideal- liance is a global thought leader in the graphic com- munications industry and a non-profit organization with 11 offices around the world. Participants from North and South America and Eu- rope came together for collaboration, hands-on learn- ing, and extensive discussion during the training,which was led by G7 Lead Trainer Don Hutcheson. The pro- gram included live demonstrations of digital and proof- ing color management utilizing the G7 methodology.
