New transceivers from ProLabs

ProLabs adds 100G EDFAMUX to QSFP28 PAM4 DWDM transceivers ProLabs has launched a long range 80km DWDM solution by pairing its 100G erbium-doped fibre amplified multiplexer (EDFAMUX) with QSFP28 PAM4 DWDM 2x50G transceivers. The EDFAMUX is an integrated solution that combines the multiplexer, EDFA, and dispersion compensator in a single 1 rack unit (1RU) 19” container to diminish space requirements and resolve

complexity while enhancing flexibility. The 100G EDFAMUX models were

designed to work with QSFP28 100G DWDM PAM4 optics, which require amplification to go any distance and dispersion compensation beyond 5km. The 100G EDFAMUX solution with a transceiver portfolio supports 10G & 100G EDFAMUX deployments. The 10G EDFAMUX models are a simple and affordable

solution for long-distance applications from

80km to 200km that can be used with standard 10G 80km/ZR fixed colour or tuneable DWDM optics.

using an intuitive interface. Complimenting this product, OZ Optics offers a variety of accessories and tools, including fibre optic patch cords, collimators and focusers for light collection, fibre optic sources at a variety of wavelengths, fibre U-bracket assemblies for sample transmission and emission testing, and fixed or removable short pass, long pass and bandpass filters. All of these products can be customised, making OZ Optics a one-stop source for spectroscopy requirements.

OZ Optics Limited, a supplier of fibre optic- based products and instruments, has launched a compact handheld optical spectrometer for ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared measurements. The design features a transmission grating for maximum sensitivity and a higher signal to noise ratio compared to similar products on the market that use a reflection style grating. The device communicates with any windows-based computer through a USB interface and is controlled

transceivers and devices. The demonstration will use two MP2110A units to measure and analyse 800G optical transceiver 8-lane optical signals in parallel and cuts evaluation times by 50, says Anritsu. The 800G transceiver under test was a CIG QSFP-DD800 2x400G-FR4 module. The optical interface conforms to 400GBASE-FR4 interface using dual 53.125 Gbaud PAM4 CWDM. The electrical interface conforms to 400GAUI-4 using 8-lane 53.125 Gbaud PAM4. The transmission distance was 2 km, and the max. power consumption was 16 W.

Anritsu Corporation and CIG Photonics has demo’d its new 800G optical transceiver PAM4 tester. A test setup input an 8-lane optical signal from a CIG QSFP-DD800 2xFR4 800G optical transceiver to Anritsu’s MP2110A Sampling Oscilloscope to demonstrate measurement of key test parameters, including TDECQ (Transmitter and Dispersion Eye Closure Quaternary). With a built-in CRU (Clock Recovery Unit), the MP2110A 4ch sampling oscilloscope can analyse NRZ and PAM4 eye patterns of 10G-800G optical
