Festival funds vision@eap.on.ca Rockland
Money is in the bank for this year’s Ottawa River Festival fun in Clarence- Rockland. The United Counties of Prescott-Rus- sell have allocated $5000 in cultural promotion funding aid for the local event. The two-day festival takes place over the July 7 weekend at Parc Du Moulin in Rockland.

Photo courtesy 1st Rockland Scouts In Rockland the official sign that summer is here is not the calendar date of June 21, which marks the summer solstice. It's the Victoria Day long weekend in May when the 1st Rockland Scouts host their annual Giant Flea Market and Garage Sale and this year's event proved to be the biggest success ever in the four decades that the local youth group has organized the sale. The parking lot space donated by Grenon Your Independent Grocer as the site for the sale overflowed again with 180 vendors catering to the treasure-hunting passions and instincts of local and visiting "pickers" looking for bargains and curiosities. After more than 5000 people had passed through the venue, wandering around the tables and taking in the sites, the Scouts finished the day with about $5000 raised to help pay for their programs and projects for the year.
